Ikelite 71472 200DL Underwater Housing for Sony Alpha A7 II, A7R II, A7S II Mirrorless Cameras

A fully functional and durable waterproof housing for Sony Alpha A7 Mark II, A7R Mark II and A7S Mark II Mirrorless cameras. Suitable for diving, snorkeling, surfing, in the pool and any application in or around the water.

The camera is mounted from the front and allows easy installation and removal. A small mounting plate is attached to the underside of the camera and attached to the front of the case. The camera mounting plate does not need to be removed from the camera for use on the surface or when changing the battery or memory cards. The mounting plate has a 1/4 -20 thread mount on the underside so that it can be attached to a tripod on the surface.

The most important feature is the new Dry lock (DL) port system. This exciting new system is robust and easy to install. It is built for reliable performance in the most remote locations, meaning that there are no complex moving parts that could interrupt and endanger your shoot. The new DL series connectors are lighter and more adaptable than their FL counterparts. They offer space for popular lenses with large diameter and full frame. The most common zoom lenses and focus rings can be set with a simple but effective gearing system that allows adjustment directly with your fingertips. A large, soft, gelappter button on the side of the case makes fine tuning a breeze. Zoom and focus gears differ depending on which lens you are using. All are light and affordable. Zoom transmission available separately!

Due to differences in assembly diameter and zoom, DL and FL system connections cannot be used in a synonym. The DL port attachment can be removed and replaced by the port latches for the FL port system (4-pack) # 5509.04 for older users with standard or modular ports from our four-lock system. This change prevents the use of newer DL ports. The housing cannot be switched back and forth repeatedly.

The supplied vacuum valve allows you to check the housing for leaks before you go into the water with your expensive equipment. In combination with a full view of the camera and the O-Ring gasket through the back of the case, there is no greater certainty that your equipment is protected. The use of the vacuum valve requires a compatible vacuum pump with pressure gauge # 47011, available separately.

This enclosure supports the choice of recording with manual flash exposure or adding a TTL converter depending on the application. The Flash shield is located at the top of the case to reduce the load on the synchronous cable. You can enjoy the fastest and most accurate TTL exposure on the market by adding the ST1K TTL kit for Sony Alpha # 47040 and a compatible Ikelite DS flash. The exposure compensation can be added or subtracted in the camera. Reliable locking connections between hot shoe and Schott make it easy to install the optional ST1K TTL kit for Sony Alpha or to transport parts when you travel to remote locations.

The Ikelite DS series flash units can be used in manual exposure modes if they are attached directly to the enclosure with single sync cord # 4103.51 or dual Sync cord # 4103.52. Install the ST1K Sony Alpha TTL KIT # 46040 for the most accurate exposure and fastest tripping on the market. The TTL kit can be installed quickly and easily and does not require batteries to weaken or die during the shoot. Only Ikelite DS strobes are able to boot and communicate with the TTL kit.

The new white ABS PC Blendfront is stronger than its clear counterpart, offering better contrast and better visibility and keeping your camera cooler in the sun. This material has only 1/3 of the specific weight of aluminum and makes the housing much lighter and basically corrosion-free.

This housing also requires a compatible lens port. This is not included in the scope of delivery.
